【高校生インターン活動記】ビジネスを学びたい！高校生が春休み限定の短期インターンにチャレンジしました。

こんにちは。ボーダレスハウスの李です。

ボーダレスハウスは6週間シェアハウスに暮らしながらインターンを経験する大学生プログラムBHCAMPを提供していますが、今回飛び込みで高校生から『春休み期間インターンをやらせてほしい！』という要望が届き、高校生向けにもプログラムも開発予定だったということで、トライアルとして特別に受け入れて活動してもらいました。

自己紹介と参加した経緯

こんにちは！ボーダレスハウスに春休みの期間を使ってインターンをしている藤田武蔵です。現在高校1年生で静岡県に住んでおり、部活はラグビーをしています。昨年には全国大会に出場、花園にも出場しました！

私がボーダレスハウスにインターンしようと思ったのは、ソーシャルビジネスに興味を持ったからです。ある日、貧困が原因で5秒に1人亡くなっている人がいるということを知りました。そのことに強い憤りを感じていました。それと同時にお金を稼ぐことに興味があったので起業したいなと思っていました。
その両方ができるソーシャルビジネスというものをボーダレスジャパン代表の田口さんの本で知りました。そしてソーシャルビジネスを学びたくてインターンさせて頂けるかホームページから直接問い合わせ、オンライン面談を経て特別に2週間ボーダレスハウスに住みながらインターンさせていただく機会をいただきました！

ビジネス インターン

ボーダレスハウス代表の李さんが特別にプログラムを組んでいただき、ソーシャルビジネスのボーダレスグループのピープルポート(株)、JOGGO(株)に訪問し1日体験をしたり、ボーダレスハウスの業務体験をさせていただきました。

JOGGOでは、代表の太田社長に事業の目的やコンセプトなどを詳しく説明をしてもらい経営のことなど質問させて頂きました。また、実際に社員の方から商品のデザイン方法やソーシャルビジネスについてどう考えているかなどを詳しくお話することも出来ました。

お客様から注文を受けて発送するまでのフローを教えていただき、実際に出荷の梱包作業も体験させていただきました。

ピープルポートでは、日本で暮らす難民の方の仕事現場を見学してお話させて頂きました。リサイクルパソコンを販売しているということで、ある企業に訪問しに行き、PCモニターの回収のお手伝いしました。代表の青山さんにピープルポートの事業説明して頂き、社員の方にも働く上で大切にしていることなど聞きたいことをたくさん質問させて頂きました。

そしてボーダレスハウスでは、退居される方の部屋の清掃作業や契約説明などに立ち合い、英語で契約説明をする体験など日常業務を体験しました。またマーケティングミーティングなど社内の会議にたくさん出席させていただきました。

ビジネスインターンで学んだこと。

1つ目は、ボーダレスグループが会社の利益ではなくソーシャルインパクトを本当に一番大切にしているということです。
ボーダレスハウスに入居される方で携帯の契約方法がわからない外国人の人がいたら一緒に手伝ったり、バングラディッシュ現地の従業員がご飯を食べれていない状況だったらご飯を配ったりと本来普通の会社ならしないようなサポートを全力でしていることを知りそう思いました。

2つ目は、ボーダレスグループの社長や社員の方々の人柄の良さです。
お話している時どんな質問をしても丁寧に答えてくださるし、学びたいことを全力で学ばせて頂きました。人を否定せず、一緒に考えて下さったことで感じました。どのような仕事をするにしても、この人柄というのは非常に重要なものだと学びました。

3つ目は、言葉についてです。
自分の言語力の低さに驚きました。これは英語などの多言語ではなく日本語についてです。ボーダレスハウスのミーティングをしている時、知らない言葉が沢山出てきて語彙力の少なさを痛感しました。ボーダレスグループの方々と話しているとすごく話しやすく、言葉の選び方や反応の仕方が会話でとても重要だと学びました。

国際交流シェアハウス滞在で学んだこと

1つ目は、コミュニケーションの大切さです。
シェアハウスに住んで社会人や大学生の皆さんから本当にたくさんの事を学びました。これは、沢山会話をして交流を深めたから学べた事だと思います。みんなでキャンプに行ったりご飯を食べたりする中で学校生活の中では学ぶことができない事を学ぶことができました。(ハウスメイトのみんなでキャンプに行った写真)

 

2つ目は、多国籍文化についてです。
浅草橋ハウスに住み海外の人や海外に住んでいた人と様々な話をしてカルチャーショックを受けました。そして、マヨワというアメリカ人の人にインタビューをした時に、人種差別などを話しました。日本で何もしないで過ごしているとわからないような世界の常識や面白さを肌で感じることができました。（ブログ記事はこちらです！浅草橋ハウス 住人インタビュー note>>）

 

3つ目は、両親のありがたみです。
料理、洗濯、掃除など自分の身の回りのことを全て自分でやりました。普段はご飯を食べたら終わりですが、自分で皿洗いをしなければなりませんでした。洗濯も掃除も全て自分1人でやりました。親が仕事をして家事もしてくれている、このありがたさを身をもって感じることができました。

これからは、様々な本をたくさん読み勉強をたくさんしていきたいと思います。また、どんなことをやるにしてもまずは行動するということを意識して生活していきます。そして貧困の人をどんな形かは分かりませんが起業して助けていきたいと思います！今回インターンを快く受け入れてくださったボーダレスハウスの皆様、JOGGOの皆様、ピープルポートの皆様、そして浅草橋ハウスの皆様本当にありがとうございました。

Language Exchange｜How should I prepare for Language Exchange and practice speaking?

Do you want to practice your speaking skills for free through “Language Exchange” and meet new foreign friends, but don’t know where to start preparing? Or have you tried “Language Exchange” before, but after encountering some difficulties in the process, and you just left it at that?

Then this article on language exchange prep will help you a lot!

What is Language Exchange?

Language Exchange is a reciprocal activity in which you practice the language that you are learning by chatting with a native speaker or someone who is fluent in that language. In addition, to quickly improve your speaking skills, you can also learn cultural knowledge not found in textbooks and make new friends, which is a great way to kill two birds with one stone.

Am I a good candidate for language exchange?

When you want to practice a language through Language Exchange, here are some tips you can check to see if you are a good candidate.

1) What is your purpose? Do you really want to practice the language? Or do you just want to meet foreign friends?

Because Language Exchange is not mandatory, there must be a strong motivation to learn each other’s language in order to be sustainable.

2) How is your language ability?

Usually, I suggest that it is better to have at least a daily conversation level, so that you can correct and improve your speech step by step during the conversation. Otherwise, it is easy to keep speaking only one language with each other.

3) Do you like to interact with people?

In fact, Language Exchange is also a kind of meeting internet friend activity, whether online or face-to-face, the first meeting will inevitably be awkward. So before participating in Language Exchange, you can ask yourself, do you want to meet a new stranger? Will you be curious about your partner?

What to prepare before Language Exchange?

The preparation content will vary depending on the length of time you work with your language partner, and is divided into early and late stages：

Early-stage：

1) Confirm meeting time and language appointment (1 hour of full Chinese conversation, 1 hour of full foreign language conversation). And set an alarm before you start so that you don’t forget to change the language when you’re having too much fun conversation.

2) Usually, the first meeting is just about introducing yourself, why are you learning this language? What are your hobbies? Where have you traveled to? What kind of music do you prefer? Basically, it’s the same as a blind date, in the process of talking to each other to find out what you have in common and whether we have a mutual connection because this part will also affect the subsequent contact.

Late-stage：

When you get to know your partner better, you will gradually start to run out of topics to talk about, so it is very important to prepare some beforehand.

1) Note down any problems of language learning that you have, such as being unsure how to translate a sentence or whether there is a more authentic way to say it. You can also bring your own textbooks or assignments and discuss your questions together.

2) If you have a grammatical problem, try not to ask a native speaker, because they usually don’t know how to explain it, either. Unless the partner major in linguistics, otherwise a lot of time will be wasted trying to explain grammar.

3) Share something interesting that happened recently, or any interesting articles, news, videos, cultural differences or interesting topics to discuss. It is better to have questions with a little depth, such as environmental protection or social issues, so that you can practice expressing your own ideas, and hear the results of your partner’s opinions from different perspectives.

4) Write an exchange diary! Language Exchange is not only to practice speaking, writing is also a very important part of it. You can write a short article about your reading experience or a movie afterthought. Gradually your writing skills will be greatly improved without you even realizing it!

5) Let’s hang out together! Hiking, movies, museums, whatever you and your friends like to do, invite your language partner to go with you as well! Since you’re going out together, you don’t have to be too strict about which language you speak for how long, so just switch between them! Be flexible!

6) Register for the language test and get certified! You can practice for the content of the exam, with specific topics and sentence patterns. When you are under pressure, you will be more prepared for each Language Exchange!

What should I pay attention to during Language Exchange?

1) When introducing to each other, observe the language level of your partner and adjust your speaking speed according to the language level, pronouncing your words as clearly and standardly as possible.

2) When practicing the language, instead of expressing yourself in your native language, ask more questions so that your partner can answer his/her thoughts more often. For example: Why? What do you think? What would you do?…etc. Try to use these questions often.

3) Use the cloud notepad to record words or sentences during the meeting, so that you can easily re-read them afterward.

Where can I find a Language Exchange partner?

Nowadays there are many ways to find language exchange partners, through mobile apps, websites, or by staying in a multicultural share house.

APP& Website recommendation：

1) Hello Talk: You can send texts, voice messages, voice calling, and video calling, and you can also help each other fix sentences, translate, and other auxiliary functions. You can also upload pictures and short articles. The overall function is very similar to Instagram.

2) Tandem: It is very similar to the function of HelloTalk, except that this app will actively send the notification about the info of other members to increase the chance of matching.

3) HiNative: It is a Q&A platform where you can ask questions about grammar, wording differences, or articles, and there are usually enthusiastic answers from native speakers.

4) BORDERLESS HOUSE: It is a multicultural share house with locals and they also organize a variety of events and provide free Language Exchange opportunities from time to time.

No War ━ Hope for a Peaceful Future ━

The Russian military invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.

We at BORDERLESS HOUSE believe that fostering mutual understanding across national boundaries is the key to sowing the seeds of peace and deterring conflict in the world, and we have nurtured a business that provides a place for international exchange.
Since the start of our business in 2008, more than 10,000 young people from 111 countries have lived together at BORDERLESS HOUSE and fostered mutual understanding. Of course, there are many Russian and Ukrainian residents among them.

While there are various ideologies, value systems, and ways of defending one’s country, the fact is that these clashes are now taking place in the form of war. Many innocent people are suffering. We are speechless when we think of the peo[;e who must be suffering in this situation.


I am absolutely against the use of force and war for any reason. “No War”


Our hearts go out to all those who have suffered from this tragedy, and we only hope that peace will come as soon as possible.

What we can do.

Amidst the worsening situation and social unrest, the government’s border control measures against the COVID have been lifted and allowed foreign students, who had long been denied entry to Japan, to resume their studies in Japan, and many of them will return to live in Japan as foreign citizens. Although it has only been a few days since the ban was lifted, we are grateful to have received many requests from international students who want to live with various people in Japan.

We, BORDERLESS HOUSE, will continue to nurture our business more wholeheartedly for the realization of a society where foreign citizens can live in peace, and where people with different upbringings, backgrounds, and values can live together peacefully.

This may sound like mere idealism in the face of the tragedies happening in the world today. Some may think it is meaningless because of how little we can do.

Nevertheless, we at BORDERLESS HOUSE believe that we, the citizens of the world, rather than the leaders of governments and countries, should be the ones to continue to nurture the bonds of friendship that transcend national boundaries, and that this is a sure step toward world peace. We will continue to work on this.

We will continue to work for a peaceful future.
Above all, we express our condolences for all the lives lost in this conflict and sincerely hope that no more precious lives will be sacrificed.

【インターン生にインタビュー】日常を冒険に！だから私はBH CAMPにチャレンジしました。

シェアハウスに住みながらインターンって実際どうなの？一期生の皆さんの声を聞いてみた！

それぞれのシェアハウスで21通りのインターン生活を過ごしています。
全員インタビューしたいところではありますが、今回は3名の方にインタビューさせていただきました！

        ーBH CAMPを利用したきっかけを教えてください！
        僕は去年の夏に留学に行く予定だったんですが、コロナで延期になり、今年の夏もまた中止になってしまいました。そこで国内で何か代わりになる体験はないかと探しているところBH CAMPを見つけて説明会に参加したのがきっかけでした。
        決め手としてはやっぱり外国人と一緒に住めること、そしてインターンが受けられること。内容を聞いて面白そう！と思って参加を決めました。

        ーBH CAMPのどんなインターンを行っていますか？
        インターンは何個でも選べるってことで、僕は４つともすべて参加しています。
        異文化理解インターンでは「家族の形」というテーマで離婚や、結婚、同性婚について調べてプレゼンを作成し、海外の方とディスカッションする準備をしています。このインターンを通して自分の中の固定概念がなくなればと思っています。
        ソーシャルビジネスインターンでは革製品のカスタムオーダー専門店JOGGOの新しい施策として、カップルのデートシーンに自分たちの記念品を実際に工場見学をしながらつくるというプランをチームで企画して、現在施策を実行中です。
        マーケティングインターンでは実際にターゲットに向けて記事を書いて、ボーダレスハウスの魅力を伝えるということをしています。
        どのような人をロールモデルにしたらその人が住みたくなるのか、どの言葉に惹かれるのかを考えながらインタビューの質問や、記事作成はなかなか大変です。オンラインイベント企画インターンでは実際に住んでいた入居者の方の話を聞いて、自分のキャリアを考えるワークショップを行ってもらうオンラインイベントをチームに分かれて一から企画・集客しています。
        正直4つは欲張りすぎたかなと感じていますが、それぞれのインターンで得られる学びが違うので、参加できない時はアーカイブ動画を見たり、チームにサポートしてもらいながら時間を調整して頑張ってます！
        すべてのインターンでチームを組んでやっているので、みんな仲良くてとても楽しいです。

        ーインターンの現時点での感想を教えてください！
        やっぱり一番面白く感じているのはソーシャルビジネスインターンです。実際に社員の方と一緒に企画するだけではなく、自分たちの考えたことを実行までしているので、デートプランをお試しで参加してくれるカップルの方を募集したり、費用を考えたりと、実際にビジネスに携わっている感じがして、とてもやりがいを感じています。

        ーシェアハウスではどのように過ごしていますか？
        インターンもあって部屋にいることも多いのですが、夜ご飯を食べにリビングに出ると必ずだれかがいて、みんなと話しながらご飯を食べたりしています。
        それぞれの生活スタイルがそこに存在していて、合わせているわけではないのにコミュニケーションがとれて、ハウスメイトとの仲が深まっていくのはとても楽しいです。特に僕は5/31が誕生日だったんですが、屋上で誕生日パーティを開いてくれて、飾りつけをしてくれて、イチゴのタルトも手作りでお祝いしてくれてとても嬉しかったです。

        ーシェアハウスの生活はどう自身に活かされていますか？
        僕のハウスは大学生が4人で、あとは社会人の方がほとんどなのですが、社会人と暮らす経験ってなかなかできません。
        いろんな働き方、キャリアを知れるのがとても面白いです。仕事を辞める！と突然段ボールを持って帰ってきたハウスメイトがいたり、会社がブラックで休職しているハウスメイトがいたり。起業しようとしている人もいてとても刺激がもらえています。
        中には複雑なバックグラウンドの人もいて、いままで本の世界だと思っていたことが「本当にいるんだ！」と思い、視野がとても広がりました。

        ーCAMP生同士での交流はいかがですか？
        同じ物件にBH CAMPの子がいるのでよくインターンについて話しています。
        他のCAMP生とも、みんなではないですが一度一緒にご飯を食べに行ったことがあり、リアルで交流できたのも嬉しかったです。

        ーBH CAMPに参加してみていかがですか？
        とにかく楽しいの一言に尽きます。
        シェアハウスに住むことが初めての経験だったので、毎日新鮮です。
        外国人と繋がりができたことも、いろんなハウスメイトと繋がれたことも楽しいです。欲を言えばもっと英語を使ってみたいという気持ちがありますが、それを加味してもただただ毎日楽しいです。

        ー他の学生へのおすすめポイントを教えてください。
        一番薦めたいポイントは人脈ができることです！
        外国人とも友達になれるし、社会人の人とも友達になれるし、人脈がぐっと広がるのは大学生にとってとても大きいと思います。あとは単純にシェアハウスめっちゃいいよ！楽しいよ！と伝えたいです。
        一人暮らしだと家に帰っても一人なんですが、ここではおかえりやただいまって言葉がかわせる、そんな小さなこと一つがとても楽しい環境です。

        ギャップイヤーをもっと充実させるために！大学生になる準備のために参加したYueさんの場合

        ーBH CAMPを利用したきっかけを教えてください！
        私はいま大学生ではなく、高校を卒業してギャップイヤーを過ごしています。
        これから大学に入る予定なんですが、AO入試や総合選抜型入試などにも活用できる活動がなにかないかと調べているときにBH CAMPに出会いました！
        「人種差別問題」に興味があり、ちょうど調べていたので、すごく会社のビジョンともマッチして説明会に参加しました。
        説明会もとてもわくわくしたので、両親に話してすぐに入居を決めました。

        ーBH CAMPのどんなインターンを行っていますか？
        わたしは2つインターンを受けています、異文化理解インターンと、ソーシャルビジネスインターンです。
        異文化理解インターンでは、海外の方と意見を交わして考えを深める異文化交流会に向けてテーマに沿ってチームを組んでプレゼンを準備しています。
        私たちは「タトゥーと私たちの生活」というテーマを選んで、積極的に自分たちでミーティングをしながら内容を詰めているところです。
        ソーシャルビジネスインターンではJOGGOとのコラボでインスタグラムを活用して売り上げを増やす施策に挑んでいます。
        売り上げにつなげるのはとても難しいのですが、社員さんと一緒にどこまで実践可能か考えながら、現在はJOGGOの作り手のストーリーをどう伝えるかブレインストーミングしながら実際にJOGGOのインスタグラムを動かしています。

        ーインターンの現時点での感想を教えてください！
        いろんな大学生や、企業の方など、自分とは違う立場の人や似た人も含め、新しい人と出会って、一つの目標に進んでいけることはとても良いなと感じています。入居前はコスト面でBH CAMPに参加するかどうか悩んでいましたが、今は本当に参加してよかったと感じています。

        ーシェアハウスでどのように過ごしていますか？
        シェアハウスでは毎日自由に過ごしています。
        みんなフレンドリーなんですが、お互いをすごく尊重し合って過ごせていて、すごく楽しいです。
        週末は大人のメンバーがお酒を持ち寄りつつ、リビングに集まって話をしています。何かと理由をつけて、パーティを開く文化もすごく好きです。
        最近はルームメイトが6月末に退去するので、体育館を借りてスポーツ大会みたいなのを計画中です！

        ーシェアハウスの生活はどう自身に活かされていますか？
        私のシェアハウスライフを言葉で表すなら「すごく自立しているのに、さみしくない日々」です。
        私は三人部屋なんですが、部屋にいるときはお互いのことに集中して、いい意味で干渉し合わずとても自立した空間になっています。
        だけどちょっと悩んだり、「疲れたな…」と思ってリビングに行くと話を自分ごとのように皆聞いてくれます。大学に悩んだときなどは大人のみんなが話をきいてくれて、自分と違うバックグラウンドの人の意見を聞けるのは良い環境だと感じています。

        ーBH CAMP生同士での交流はいかがですか？
        期間が短いことと、みんなとても忙しいこともあり、なかなかしっかり仲良くなれていない状況です。
        プロジェクトチームでの話し合いはとても活発なので、インターンの仲間を超えた関係になれたらなと思っています。

        ーBH CAMPに参加してみて、いかがですか？
        チープに聞こえるかもしれませんが、本当に楽しいです。
        とても満足しているし、受験生じゃなければもっとこのハウスに残りたいと思っています。ずっとボーダレスジャパンのことは気になっていたので、BH CAMPのおかげで中に飛び込んで、知ることができたのでとても良かったです。
        大人になったらまたぜひ戻ってきたいです。

        ー他の学生へのおすすめポイントを教えてください！
        私の一番のおすすめポイントは両親からの自立という面です。
        都内に住んでいるとなかなか実家から出る機会ってないと思うんですが、一度親元から離れて暮らしてみると、とても両親のありがたみがわかります。そして何より会った時の時間がとても大切にできるなと感じています。
        あとはいろんな人と繫げること。国籍も立場もジェンダーも違う、バラバラ過ぎる人々と過ごせることは難しい面もあるけれど自分自身も磨かれていくと思うので、そこをおすすめしたいです！

        ③このままで大学生活を終わらせたくない！毎日を＋αで楽しむために参加したFukaさんの場合

        ーBH CAMPを利用したきっかけを教えてください！
        大学3年生なんですが、今年すべてオンライン授業になってしまい、アルバイト先と家の往復の日々を想像しながら「私このまま大学生活を終えていくのか…」ととても憂鬱に思っていました。そんな時に友人からBH CAMPを紹介されました。
        もともと留学に行きたいという目標もあったので、外国人と住める環境＋そして今の生活環境をガラッと変えられるということから、ボーダレスハウスに惹かれました。またちょうどインターンを悩んでおり、ソーシャルビジネスにも興味があったことから、こんなにドンピシャで成長できるチャンスはこれしかないと思い、参加を決めました。

        ーBH CAMPのどんなインターンを行っていますか？
        私はソーシャルビジネスインターンでJOGGOさんのインターンに参加しています。インターンを受けている学生がそれぞれの施策を持ち寄って発表し、実現可能性と独創性で5つの施策が選ばれて、実際にJOGGOの社員さんが伴走しながら現在施策を行っています。
        私が出したのはYoutuberを使った施策なんですが、なんと採用して頂き、現在プロジェクトリーダーとして企画に挑んでいます。

        ーインターンの現時点での感想を教えてください！
        企業の施策を考えたり、企画を出すことは実際にやったことがあるんですが、施策を実行するということはいままで体験したことがなかったのでとても新鮮に感じています。
        特に今回は自分自身が考えた施策をリーダーとして実行するので、とても責任も重く、やりがいも感じています。
        私はYoutuberの方に直接交渉しているのですが、起業案件をどうやって交渉するのか、どのような日本語を使えばいいのかなど、インターンならではの貴重な経験をしているなと感じています。

        ーシェアハウスでどのように過ごしていますか？
        私はリビングにいるのが大好きで、どれだけ大学の課題がきつきつでもリビングでみんなと交流することを意識しています。
        実家にいるときは部屋でyoutubeを見ることが多かったのですが、今は1人で時間をつぶすような時間の使い方をすることが全くなくなりました。
        ハウスのみんなとご飯を作ったり、掃除をしたり、一言も会話がなくても同じ空間で作業している瞬間もとても幸せを感じています。

        ーシェアハウスの生活はどう自身に活かされていますか？
        ２つあります。一つは生活力の部分です。私はずっと実家暮らしだったので、洗濯とか日々生きることをマネジメントする力が身についたなと思います。
        ただ実家を出て自分ですべて行うようになったということだけではなく、いろんな人の生活方法や、生活スタイルを見ることができるので、教えてもらったり、いいなと思うことをまねてみたりして刺激を受けています。
        もう一つはコミュニティです。私がインターンで取り組んでいることをハウスメイトにヒアリングしたりすると、親身に意見を言ってくれます。普段の自分の大学生活では出会えない人々と繋がっていけることがいいなと思います。
        なによりボーダレスハウスは交流がコンセプトなので、住んでいる皆さんが人が好きで、人と人を繋げたいという想いがあるので、その暖かさにいつも助けられています。

        ーCAMP生同士での交流はいかがですか？
        シェアハウスに1人BH CAMP生がいるので、今やっているインターンや、外部のインターン、就活の悩み相談をすることもあります。
        同じ時期に入居した同世代だからこそ共有できることが多いなと感じています。
        他のインターン生の方もプロジェクトチームでミーティングすることが多いのですが、それ以外の時間でお互いの興味のあることをシェアして、「こんなのあるよ！」と興味関心のあることにつながることをシェアしてもらえたり、同世代でこれだけ考えていることややっていることが違うんだと感じられるのがとても刺激になっています。

        ーBH CAMPに参加してみていかがですか？
        100％では足りないくらい、120％でこのプログラムに出会えたことが良かったと思っています。ハウスでの生活やインターンを振り返ると泣きそうになるくらい、ここでの生活が楽しいです。
        BH CAMPでの経験はコロナ下で諦めていた大学生活のキラキラが感じられるような毎日です。
        失敗しても何度もチャレンジやアドバイスをもらえる環境で、こんなに安心安全で学べて、刺激をもらえる環境はありません。

        ー他の学生へのおすすめポイントを教えてください！
        毎日がプラスα楽しくなる環境です。何気ない日常がボーダレスハウスに住むととても鮮明に記憶に残る、学びばかりな毎日になります。
        今、生活がマンネリ化していたり、ちょっとつまらないなって方にはボーダレスハウスに住むだけで人生が変わりますと断言できます。ぜひ飛び込んでみてください！

【大学生向けプラン体験インタビュー】大学生活をより楽しむための国際交流シェアハウスのすすめ！

ボーダレスハウスでは２月-３月に大学生活応援キャンペーンを行っていました。

ご好評をいただき、大学生の皆さんにもっと学びの場を提供したいということで、暮らしながらインターンシップ体験ができるBH CAMPをはじめました。

大学生の皆さんがボーダレスハウスでどんな経験ができるのか。大学生活応援キャンペーン参加者のあやなちゃんのインタビューを通してご紹介します！

コロナ過で引きこもりの環境を抜け出したい！そう思い大学生活応援キャンペーンに飛び込んだあやなさん

ー自己紹介をお願いします！
関西の私立大学に通う4年生のあやなです！大学ではSDGs（持続可能な開発目標）を軸に、国内外の社会問題、特に貧困問題やフェアトレードについて学んでいます。
海外が好きで、国際系の高校に通っていたり海外にもよく行ったりしています。趣味はスノーボードやスケートボードなど、アウトドアが大好きです。

ーもともと国際問題や異文化交流に興味があったんですね！今回あやなさんが大学生活応援キャンペーン※大学生向け２か月お試し入居プランを利用したのはなぜでしょうか？
１番の理由は、コロナの影響でアウトドアな私が実家に引きこもってしまい、そんなつまらない生活から抜け出したかったからです。
夏休みのときに大学の講義もオンライン、サークルや学生団体の活動もすべてオンラインになりました。
友だちともなかなか会えず、どこにも行けないことがすごくしんどく感じていました。

同じ思いを春休みではしたくないなと思い、環境を変えるための手段を考えていたところ、このキャンペーンを見つけて「これだ！行くしかない！」と思って申し込みました。

ー大学生の皆さまはコロナの影響で本当に大変だと知ってこのプランを始めたので、まさにドンピシャでとても嬉しいです！あやなさんは大阪のご実家に住んでいらっしゃるかと思うんですが、東京の物件に滞在されたのはなぜでしょうか？

就職活動中で、地元以外で就職したいなと考えていたのと、せっかくなら実際に企業を見に行きたいなと思い、東京にしました。

ーなるほど！たしかにオンラインでの就活が多いとはいえ、実際に環境を変えて就活することで見える職業の可能性もぐんと広がりますよね！東京へ短期と言えども実家を離れて暮らすことにご両親は心配されませんでしたか？
夏休みのときの私をみていたこともあり、せっかくだから環境を変えて東京に住んでみたら？と背中を押してくれたのがお母さんでした。お父さんもコロナのことでとても心配はしていましたが、やりたいことを応援したいという気持ちで送りだしてくれました。

ーお二人とも背中を押してくださったんですね！滞在を終えて、ご両親の反応はいかがでしょうか？
私がシェアハウスでの思い出をたくさん話したので、「楽しかったんだね、良い人たちに恵まれて良かったね」と言ってくれています！
近所の方と「娘が東京での生活をすごく楽しんでいて、帰ってくるか心配」と話していたらしく、楽しんで過ごしたことを喜んでくれました。

ーご両親も安心してくださるくらいシェアハウス生活を楽しんでくれてとても嬉しいです！最初シェアハウスへの不安はありましたか？
まったくなかったです！入居した日から皆がたくさん話しかけてくれたので本当に初対面な感じがしなくて。初日で「ここに来てよかった！」と思いました。

大切なのは心構え。２か月間を無駄にしないために自分から行動し続けること

ーシェアハウスの生活の中ではどんなことをしましたか？
みんなとの思い出は数えきれないんですが、私がこの２か月間をめいっぱい楽しむために意識したことはリビングにたくさん出ることでした。
時間がある時はリビングに出て、悩みも楽しみもみんなにシェアすることで距離をぐっと近くすることができました。
２か月間は長いようで本当ににあっという間なので、自分からアクションしないとすぐに時間が過ぎ去ってしまいます。なので自分から動くことを１番意識し、イベントも積極的に開催しました。

ー自分からアクションするってすごく大切ですよね！私たちも最初の１か月はできるだけリビングに出て、みんなと話してみてくださいとご案内します。１番の思い出はなんですか？
みんなでスノボ旅行にいったことです。最初は大学の友達と行く約束をしていたのですが、そこにシェアハウスのみんなも加わって行くことになりました。
大学のゼミで春休みの１番の思い出をシェアしたときに友達のみんながスノボ旅行と言ってくれたくらい、

シェアハウスのみんなと仲良く過ごしてくれました！私としても友達にボーダレスハウスでの出来事をシェアできてとても嬉しかったです。

ー大切な人同士がつながるってとっても嬉しいですよね。お試し体験でこれだけのことを経験出来るって本当にすごいです！

学びがいっぱいのオリジナルイベント。大学生交流会で得られた関係

ーキャンペーン中いろんなイベントがありましたが、一番印象に残っているイベントはなんですか？
大学生交流会ですね！キャンペーンに参加している大学生と自己啓発ワークや、テーマに沿ったディスカッションをしました。就活中の私にはとても役に立ちましたし、何より他の大学生と出会える場だったのですごく良かったなと感じています。

ー他の大学生と出会いやディスカッションで具体的にどんなことを感じましたか？
ボーダレスハウスに住んでいる仲間と学年・大学・地域を超えて同じ思いや繋がりを持てたな、ということです。
普通の生活なら接点がなかった相手とディスカッションすることで、自分にはない視点を吸収することができました。
そこで出会った子と後日オフラインでも遊んだりして、地元以外に今後も続いていく関係性を築けたことがとても良かったです。
イベントの学びなどをシェアして深めることができたのも良かったです。

ーキャンペーン参加者さんたちの主催で、BBQパーティー（※感染対策あり）を開催したことで、別々の物件の入居者さん同士も繋がることができたと聞きました！他のイベントはいかがでしたか？
社会人交流会は、色々な業種の社会人の方のキャリアに至るまでの経緯や、やりがいなどを伺いました。皆さん共通して好きなことをとことん追及して仕事にしていたので、就活でもやりたいこと・好きなことを突き詰めたいと思いました。交流会が終わった後も社会人の方と連絡を取って電話で相談を聞いてもらいました！

ー登壇した社会人の皆さんは本当に素敵な方々ばかりで、大学生の皆さんになんでも協力したい！という風におっしゃっていたので、とても嬉しいエピソードです。ソーシャルビジネスワークショップはいかがでしたか？
社会問題や国際協力に関心があったので、社会問題の解決に取り組むボーダレス・ジャパンにはとても興味がありました。
そんなボーダレスグループの事業コンセプトの決め方等を知ることで、ソーシャルビジネスの概要や立ち上げ方を理解することが出来ました！
自分の興味のある分野に当てはめたときにどう考えるべきなのか、もっと明確化していきたいなと感じました。
どのイベントも沢山の学びを得ることが出来、とても楽しかったです！

迷ったら飛び込むべき！想像以上の経験が国際交流シェアハウスで待っています。

最後に全体の感想と、このインタビューを読んでいる皆さんに大学生向けのプランのおすすめポイントを教えてください。
大学生キャンペーンに参加したみんなで滞在経験についてのプレゼンを行ったのですが、そこで自分の２か月間を振り返り、他の参加者の過ごし方も聞くことで、この体験を見つめ直すことができました。
自分の中での成長はコミュニケーション力かな。この２か月間、常にどんな話をしようとか、このテーマではこう話そうとか、
日々の何気ない会話を色々な視点で話し合えたことですごくコミュニケーション力が上がったと思います。
短期間だからこそこの生活を最大限に楽しもうという心構えで挑めていたので、人生で１番濃い２ヶ月間になりました。
シェアハウスでもたくさん愛してもらえて、本当に今すぐにでも帰りたいくらい充実した２か月間でした。
１ミリでも興味があれば絶対に入居するべきです！

初めての共同生活はハードルが高いと思うかもしれませんが、みんな柔軟に受け入れてくれるし、不安はすぐに忘れちゃうと思います。なにより想像以上の楽しい出来事が待っているので、少しでも気になったら飛び込んでみてください！
